Birthday Love

I am officially TWENTY!

And even though I'm still not used to that fact it didn't stop me from having the most amazing birthday celebration. First my boyfriend surprised me by taking me to see Cirque du Soleil. I have been wanting to see this show forever so I was really excited to find out that we were going. The performers all did an amazing job, I was seriously on the edge of my seat during the whole performance.


After that we went out for a dinner celebration and then off to the club for a little dancing. I can't thank my friends and family enough for making me feel so special on this day.

Celebrate Good Times, COME ON!

Today I went to Fallsview Casino at Niagara with the boy and his fam. We ate an amazing sushi dinner and those oysters that you can just slurp into your mouth, they were delicious!! After that we went to see a cool concert/show (jazz funk music) which was good fun. Made me feel so young - everyone there was 40+. Security was hesitant to let me in to the casino too ended up showing them 3 pieces of ID!! But tonight marks my birthday which means that I will be turning 20. Feels kinda scary to say I am no longer a teen :O

Turn Up the Music

Yesterday I went out with the my girls for one last crazy night out (at least for a while.) It's the last day of my summer before school and the stress start to kick in. Had too much fun dancing around and singing at the top of my lungs :P

Lions and Tigers and Stingrays OH MY!

Today I went to the zoo with Mr. Man and I had a blast! The weather was great and it was fun acting like a kid and watching all the animals. The penguins were adorable, the bats were super cool, and the polar bears were soooooo cute. We paid a little bit extra to touch stingrays (stingers removed) and sharks - but they didn't like to be touched much. The stingrays were so playful and they felt so slimy and wet, I was kinda scared at first but we ended up staying there for an hour until they told us to leave, wish I could have brought them home. I really wanted a camel ride too but the stingrays were so much better.


After the zoo we met up with Mr. Man's parents for an amazing seafood dinner. Seriously the best lobster I've ever had. Still so full :P Always eating new things when I'm out with them - lobster brain guts and fried tiny fish (taste better than fish) + sesame seed soup :O delicioussssssss

Mirror Mirror

I've recently been going crazy looking for bedroom inspiration and ideas for my new room in London. I'll be living there for school and I'm excited to decorate the place. I'm currently loving the look of worn, antique looking mirrors - some would say I'm nuts for ruining a perfectly good mirror but in love with the way this looks.


And I know the first picture is definitely not a bedroom but still so pretty!

Crazy Kids

Tonight I went out with Mr. Man to toast marshmallows and make s'mores. We drove all the way out to a park and then realized that we had no matches to light a fire...
But being super determined we decided to trek back to his place to grab a lighter and continue the adventure in his backyard.

The fire took a while plus tons of arm strength but it was super exciting to finally have it going. BUT seconds after we got our fire it started to rain!!! I know right... But we got out a large umbrella before it died and finally SUCCESS
S'mores were delicious gooey and definitely worth it - probably the closest I will get to camping this summer too

Tomorrow I'm going to the states with the family for some shopping! So exited since I missed out on the last trip, can't wait to share my buys :D

New Job

Today was my first official day at my new job Aritzia. At first I was super nervous but everyone turned out to be really nice and the atmosphere is just great. I'm a long time fan of Aritzia and their clothing so I'm going to need to stop myself from putting all the money I earn back into the store :P But while working I already picked out a bunch of stuff I like! Don't know if I can resist the temptation...

No Longer a Virgin

I took the jump and finally decided to dye my hair, I actually did this a week ago but now I have a picture! It's super subtle but I like it :D
And even though it's not crazy different it still surprises me when I look in the mirror. It was so hard to imagine what I would look like WITHOUT black hair so I'm curious to know what I would look like with even lighter hair now - hopefully I don't get too addicted...



Obviously I like this shirt too much...
Also it's freaking hot here so I ate a Popsicle - excuse the orange lips that look like they're kinda bleeding

Swerve

Long time no talk, so sorry for my laziness. But continuing from my last post my exam went well, very pleased with my mark - hopefully I do just as good on my final - fingers crossed!

Today I went glasses hunting and had a little bit too much fun playing with these sunnies.

Then headed to The Bay and picked up these shoes from Topshop, couldn't resist the price! They were on clearance with an extra 30% off so I payed roughly $40 from $110. Very pleased :D My mother thinks they're cray and weird - definitely not for everyone but I am in love.

Bring on the Heat

The weather here is getting so so so hot. I wish I could enjoy it more by going to the beach but sadly I have summer school. I have an exam coming up this weekend so most of my time is spent cooped up in a library. I might start delaying on the posts but I'll try keeping up with all of you guys as best as I can!

Can you say delicious! Lovely summer colours as well too :P


On another note I explored downtown Toronto today (as a study break of course) and touched a real life Balenciaga. This is an important date to note for me :P

Meeting the Parents

This past Saturday I went to Niagara with my boyfriend and his parents. I was nervous and excited because it would be my first time meeting his mother but they were both really wonderful and lovely. We had dinner at a cute Italian restaurant and then went back to our hotel to watch the tight rope walker walk across the falls. Never in my life could I ever do something like that sooo scared of heights, but I love roller coasters as strange as that sounds...let me know if any of you are the same!

After that my boyfriend and I explored the casino and the falls walking through Niagara. It was an amazing night!

Congrats Bro!

Earlier this week I went to my brother's convocation ceremony. So proud of him for finishing college. I still have two years on me and I'm so nervous I can't even think about graduating currently. The ceremony was great although mostly a blur after my brother's name got called :P but the food being served after the ceremony was the best. So delicious! I stood by the macaron's and basically guarded them with my life.

I used this occasion to try out my new heels. Hurt like hell so good thing I was mostly sitting down. But I found out later the same day that the saleslady gave me a size 7 and 1/2 instead of my usual 8. The box says size 8 so I know it was just a mistake and I didn't find it unbearable but I'd like to see what the 8 feels like. Hopefully they don't give me a hard time even though I've worn the shoe out :S
